Discover the beauty of Crete, its spectacular caves carved in limestone, the authentic villages and spend the nights in wild camping under the stars; Discover turquoise waters and secluded bays and beaches and drink ouzo in rustic taverns. Challenge yourself navigating rock gardens and exploring magnificent caves! In this trip you are going to enjoy and to learn. Misha Hoichman, a seasoned expedition kayaker and an instructor, will lead this trip with an emphasis on a friendly, “democratic” atmosphere and learning. He will share from his experience on building your own trip, navigation, various aspects of equipment, awareness of sea and weather conditions.

Misha started sea kayaking in 1999. Since then he paddled thousands of kilometers in many seas and countries of the world. He already lead several tours in Greece and is very familiar with the sea conditions as well as being very sensitive to the needs and abilities of each and every paddler in the group.
Requirements
What do I need to know?
You should be an experienced paddler and the sea shouldn’t be unknown territory to you. You should know how to stay on course 4-5 Beaufort winds and up to 1 m waves, as well as physically fit to paddle around 25 km per day. In case you have any specific question or if you are intimidated, the expedition leader is happy to assist you in deciding whether you are experienced enough to take part.

Sea and weather conditions
October is the perfect time as the water is still very warm, but the heat of the summer is over. It is very pleasant to paddle in temperatures of around 20°C and water temperature of up to 24°C.

What do I need to bring?
Each participant will receive a detailed list of the equipment that he/ she needs to bring (e.g. sleeping bag, tent, mattress, personal clothes, etc.).
