Where will the expedition lead us
The Cyclades are a group of islands that are some of the best destinations world wide for short kayaking expeditions. In this journey we will travel between a dozen of the beautiful islands each having its unique character and landscape. Since the expedition involves a few open sea crossings, the detailed plan will be adjusted according to the weather conditions.

Day of arrival – meeting in Piraeus, Athens;
equipment check and launch into the adventure!
Day 2 – 10 Since the expedition involves a few open sea crossings, the detailed plan will be adjusted according to the weather conditions. The participants will be encouraged to actively engage in the open discussions and decision making. During the journey we will learn and practice various aspects related to kayaking expeditions such as: effective techniques in challenging seas, group leading skills, navigation, safety margins, etc.

Misha Hoichman
Misha started sea kayaking some 15 years ago. Since then he paddled thousands of kilometers in many seas and countries of the world. He already lead several tours Greece and is very familiar with the sea conditions as well as being very sensitive to the needs and abilities of each and every paddler in the group.
Requirements
What do I need to know?
You should be an experienced paddler and the sea shouldn’t be unknown territory to you. You should know how to stay on course even in stronger winds and waves, as well as physically fit to paddle longer distances several days in a row. In case you have any specific question or if you are intimidated, the expedition leader is happy to assist you in deciding whether you are experienced enough to take part.

Sea and weather conditions
October is the perfect time as the water is still very warm, but the heat of the summer is over. It is very pleasant to paddle in temperatures of around 20°C and water temperature of up to 24°C. Wind and waves are hard to predict and change according to the choice of route, based on the skills and sense of adventure of the participants.
Equipment
What do I need to bring?
We provide a high quality fiberglass sea kayak, sprayskirt, paddle and your personal floating device.
Each participant will receive a detailed list of the equipment that he/ she needs to bring (e.g. sleeping bag, tent, mattress, personal clothes, etc.).
